About Free Video Converter

Free Video Converter is an independent Windows desktop application for practical media jobs: create a compatible video, reduce a delivery file, trim a recording or prepare soundtracks and subtitles. The aim is to make the next step clear without hiding the settings that determine the result.

Free Video Converter 8.1.0

Useful choices, close to the task

The current 8.1.0 release combines video/audio conversion with trim segments, visual crop, joining, subtitles, target-size output, presets and disc authoring. A single queue can hold local sources and permitted public online links. You choose the output and folder rather than accepting an unexplained default.

A local conversion workspace

Local media is processed on your Windows PC, without upload to a cloud conversion service. Original sources stay unchanged, and the app avoids silently replacing an existing output. Online source lookup, downloading and module updates use the network when those features run.

The interface offers light and dark modes and ten languages, including English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, German, French, Japanese, Korean and Russian.

An independent product and website

Free Video Converter and winxvideo.com are not affiliated with Digiarty Software or its Winxvideo AI product. The domain name does not make this the official website for that separate application. Our release does not claim AI upscaling, restoration or frame interpolation.

Free software with a separately disclosed offer

The conversion app is free to use and adds no product watermark. The installer may present RelevantKnowledge, a separate optional research application. Review its own terms and privacy information; choosing Decline continues the main application installation.

The application uses separately licensed media tools. See the installed notices and this site’s third-party notices for attribution, and the download page for the current signed installer identity.
